Our Response to God’s Love Shapes Our Eternity

Our Response to God’s Love Shapes Our Eternity

The stakes of our response to God’s love are not just about improving our lives here and now, but about our eternal destiny. Jesus came not just to make us better people, but to rescue us from perishing, eternal separation from God. The reality of eternity should sober us, but also fill us with hope, because Jesus has already made the way for us to have everlasting life.
Every day, we are invited to respond to God’s love. This response is not a one-time event, but a daily choice to trust, follow, and surrender. The hope of eternity gives us courage to face today’s challenges, knowing that our future is secure in Christ.
1 John 5:11-12 (KJV): “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.”
Reflection: How does the reality of eternity shape the way you live today? Is there a step of faith or obedience you sense God calling you to take in light of His promise of eternal life?
