The Hidden Reality of a Surrendered Heart
The Hidden Reality of a Surrendered Heart
Authenticity in faith is not measured by outward actions or religious routines, but by the true condition of the heart. It is possible to look and sound like a Christian, to participate in church activities, and yet remain distant from Christ. The real test is what rules our hearts; what we turn to for comfort, identity, and purpose. Jesus calls us to move beyond surface level faith and into a genuine relationship with Him, where our desires and priorities are shaped by His love and lordship.
Each day, we are invited to examine ourselves honestly. Are we seeking Christ Himself, or simply the benefits of being associated with Him? The journey of faith is one of continual surrender, allowing God to reveal and transform the places in our hearts that are still ruled by lesser loves. Only then can we experience the freedom and joy of truly belonging to Him.
Isaiah 29:13-14 (KJV): “Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.”
Reflection: What is one thing you run to for comfort or identity before you turn to Jesus? How can you invite Him to rule that area of your heart today?

I try to surrender to God’s will but sometimes more than I would like it is my will be done.
nDefinitely a work that needs more shaping and development. Praise God , He does not give up on me…
