The Cross—Our Everlasting Memorial of Grace

The Cross—Our Everlasting Memorial of Grace

The cross stands as the greatest memorial of love, where Jesus paid the ultimate price to reconcile sinners to God. This act of grace is not something to be passively acknowledged; it calls for a response of repentance, faith, and a transformed life. The assurance of salvation is not found in our works or rituals, but in a personal relationship with Christ.

To move from being enemies to friends of God is the miracle of the gospel. True freedom is found not in self-reliance, but in surrender to the One who gave everything for us. As we remember the cross, let us respond with gratitude, trust, and a willingness to live out the grace we have received.

Colossians 1:13-14 (KJV): “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:”

Reflection: In what area of your life do you need to move from passive acknowledgment of Christ’s sacrifice to an active, faith-filled response? What step can you take today to live more fully in the freedom and grace He offers?
