God's kingdom begins in unseen, ordinary places
: God's kingdom begins in unseen, ordinary places
Nazareth was small, unremarkable, and easy to overlook. God did not need a stage or a celebrity to begin the greatest story the world has ever known. He looks into places others ignore and finds people whose lives are ready to be redirected by grace. When God chooses, the ordinary becomes the stage for the extraordinary.
You are not invisible to God even if the world treats you that way. The value God places on you isn’t measured by reputation, address, or resume. Let this reminder change how you look at the people and places around you: God delights in showing up where we least expect Him, and He often calls from the margins.
1 Samuel 16:7 (KJV): “But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.”
Reflection: Name one person or one place in your daily life that you usually overlook. What would it look like to intentionally bring God’s attention, kindness, or help to that person or place this week?
